Getting Diagnostic Logs

Windows 10

Follow these instructions if you are experiencing a problem with Chordle for Windows 10 but the app continues to run.

  1. Open Chordle and do what you normally do to reproduce the problem

  2. Open the settings panel in Chordle

  3. In the Troubleshooting section, click the copy logs to clipboard button

  4. Paste the copied logs in an email and send it to info@chordle.com

Windows 8/Windows 10 hangs or crashes

Follow these instructions if you are using the Windows 8 version of the app, or the Windows 10 version hangs or crashes while you are using it.

  1. Open Chordle and do what you normally do to reproduce the problem

  2. Open File Explorer and paste the following into the address bar: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Packages\19116Munklesoft.Chordle_sjfyx6f2ztysj\LocalState

  3. In the folder that opens you should be able to find a file called Chordle.log - this is the file I need as it contains a trace of various things that happened when Chordle was last open. You can open it in notepad if you want to see the sort of information it contain

  4. Email this log to info@chordle.com along with a description of the problem you're seeing, and we'll do our best to fix the problem.
