Reporting issues

If you are experiencing a problem with Chordle, but the app does not crash as a result of the issue:

  1. Open Chordle and do what you normally do to reproduce the problem
  2. Open the settings pane
  3. In the Logging and error reporting section, tap the Send log report button Screenshot of the Logging and Error reporting section of the settings pane, with a button in the bottom right labelled Send log report
  4. You’ll be prompted to enter a description of the problem you’re seeing and optionally include your song database. You’ll only need to do this in rare cases, and we’ll ask you to do it if it’s necessary: Screenshot of the Send Log Report dialog
  5. Tap Send Log Report to send the logs to us for investigation.

💡 All information is treated according to our privacy policy and is only used to help us investigate the issue you’re seeing.

If you prefer to review or share the logs manually, you can instead tap Copy logs to copy them to the clipboard and paste them into an email to info@chordle.com.

We may ask you to provide additional information about the problem you’re seeing, including changing the Log level dropdown to “Verbose” and sending us the logs again after reproducing the problem.

Hangs or crashes

If Chordle hangs (stops responding) or completely crashes (the window disappears) the next time Chordle starts up you will see a prompt asking if you want to send the crash report to us. Please tap “Yes” to send the crash report and it will automatically be sent to us for investigation. You can opt out of this, but can change your mind later in the Logging and error reporting section of the settings pane.
